چکیده
Abstract. This study focuses on the determination and validation of a new global mean sea surface (MSS) model, named Shandong University Science Technology 2020 (SDUST2020), with grid size 1?×1?. model was established 19-year moving average method fused multi-satellite altimetry data over 27-year period (from January 1993 to December 2019). The HaiYang-2A, Jason-3, Sentinel-3A were first ingested in SDUST2020 MSS but not any other such as CLS15 DTU18 models. Validations, including comparisons models, GPS-leveled tide gauges, altimeter data, performed evaluate quality all which showed that is accurate reliable. dataset freely available at site (data DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6555990, Yuan et al., 2022).

Gravity acceleration at the sea surface derived from satellite altimetry data using harmonic splines
Gravity acceleration data have grand pursuit for marine applications. Due to environmental effects, marine gravity observations always hold a high noise level. In this paper, we propose an approach to produce marine gravity data using satellite altimetry, high-resolution geopotential models and harmonic splines. On the one hand, harmonic spline functions have great capability for local gravity ...

متن کاملVolterra Algorithm for Modelling Sea Surface Current Circulation from Satellite Altimetry Data
This work introduces a new approach for modelling sea surface current from AVISO/Altimeter satellite data. This is based on utilizing of the Volterra series expansion in order to transform the time series of Merged Sea Level Anomaly satellite altimetry data into a real ocean surface current. The basic equation of hydrodynamic has been solved by first order Volterra model. Then, the Volterra ker...
متن کاملGlobal Surface Mass Variations from Continuous GPS Observations and Satellite Altimetry Data
The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission is able to observe the global large-scale mass and water cycle for the first time with unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution. However, no other time-varying gravity fields validate GRACE. Furthermore, the C20 of GRACE is poor, and no GRACE data are available before 2002 and there will likely be a gap between the GRACE and GRACE...
متن کاملTotal Sea Surface Current Circulation Pattern in the South China Sea Derived from Satellite Altimetry
Sea surface currents and circulation patterns can be estimated globally and in a continuous manner using satellite radar altimeters. This study is concerned with the surface current circulation pattern in the South China Sea. The main data utilized are the tidal amplitudes from co-tidal charts, the sea level anomaly and the wind speed from the Jason-1 satellite altimetry data. Algorithms used t...
